Workshop Description: This hands-on workshop will introduce children to the basics of crafting and building with cardboard, enabling them to create their miniature room. Participants will learn essential cardboard cutting and assembling techniques, as well as how to decorate and personalize their Miniature room.
Workshop Outline:
Hour 1: Introduction and Design Planning
- Introduction to the workshop objectives and safety guidelines for handling cardboard and craft tools.
- Brainstorming and sketching basic dollhouse designs on paper, emphasizing simplicity and creativity.
Hour 2: Cardboard Cutting and Assembly
- Demonstration of basic cardboard cutting techniques and assembly methods for creating the main structure of the Miniature room.
- Hands-on practice in cutting and assembling the walls, and floors of the Miniature room
Hour 3: Decoration and Personalization
- Introduction to simple decorating techniques using markers, paints, and other craft materials to add color and personality to the Miniature room.
- Guided practice in decorating the exterior and interior of the Miniature room, encouraging creativity and self-expression.
Hour 4: Adding Details and Accessories
- Demonstrating how to create basic cardboard furniture and accessories for the Miniature room, such as tables, chairs, and beds.
- Hands-on practice in constructing and customizing miniature accessories to enhance the Miniature room.
Hour 5: Final Touches and Presentation
- Finalizing the decoration and assembly of the dollhouse with the addition of finishing touches and details.
- Setting up a mini showcase for participants to display their completed dollhouses and share their design experiences with the group.
